Step 1: Submit Facebook friend request to ex-husband.
Step 2: Wait 2 1/2 months while ex-husband mulls it over before accepting FB request.
Step 3: Peruse his profile; see that he has himself listed as single and interested in dating; have the stones to look through ex-husband's photo albums, including the many pics he still has of him with his ex-girlfriend, who moved out back in October.
Step 4: Leave (what I thought was) a benign comment on a picture of them saying "Didn't you guys break up, like, months ago?"
Step 5: Ex-husband's ex-girlfriend messages him, saying "If your friends are going to comment on pictures of me, please remove my pictures from your page".
Step 6: Ex-husband deletes me from Facebook, only hours after adding me, and sends me an angry email about what a bad friend I am and that I have no tact and that I made that comment hoping that she would see it and he's rethinking his decision to try and be friends with me and blah blah blah.
Step 7: Wash hands of ex-husband, I guess. Or he washes his hands of me. Sheesh. WTF?

Hey Amber! :)
1st, CONGRATS on the dream job, I am so happy to hear how wonderful it is and how much you enjoy it and everything. What a blessing, to find employment that you enjoy and fulfills you! Congrats :)
Re: facebook, hmmmmm, my first/main reaction was that your comment should have been a private message to him. Because everything written as comments, on walls, anywhere on facebook, is public and so everyone, especially the people in the photos, is notified about them and reads them. I'm sorry to hear the whole thing occurred and there was conflict, b/c from what you've written it sounded like you two were moving back towards being friends again.
Again, congrats on the job and good luck with everything! :)
Crikey!
Aw, Amber.
*sigh*
Shelly, I honestly didn't think she'd see it. Maybe it's just the way I have my own preferences set up on FB but I thought we only get notified if someone comments on our own stuff (like, I knew HE'D get a notification for commenting HIS photo) or if she had previously commented that pic and then she'd get a "Amber also commented on Alex's photo" kind of thing. She hadn't commented on the pic before so I didn't think she'd be notified of the comment. Hell, maybe I just happened to comment that pic on the day she just happens to be cruising his pictures. I don't know. But it's not like I made any comment about HER or said anything about them as a couple or whatever. And would she still be asking him to take pictures down if I'd just said something like "She's pretty"? Is she just pissed that it was his ex-wife? Cause he divorced my ass.
*sigh* Whatever. I guess this is why people don't stay in contact with their ex-husbands when there are no kids involved.
